All the talks are held at the Brigg & District Servicemens Club, Coney Court, Brigg usually on the first Tuesday of the month, from 8:00 p.m. Admission is free and a supper is provided. There is a raffle to help cover costs.

Tue 5th Sep '17 - FAKES & FORGERIES - THE GARDEN SHED GANG

An illustrated talk by Marilyn Roberts covering the amusing story of how the elderly Greenhalgh family carved and aged with mud and cold tea an alabaster Egyptian Princess and then fooled the Bolton Museum into buying it.

An illustrated talk by Rod Fanthorpe about the Christmas Truce of December 1914. The unreal worlds of soldiers in the trenches and the folks at home in Lincolnshire trying to cope.

Tue 5th Dec '17 - FROM HERBALIST TO CHEMIST - JESSE BOOT (1850 - 1931)

An illustrated talk by Josie Webb. The story of how a working class man selling herbal medicines rose to form the Empire we know today as Boot's the Chemist.
